San Fransisco, California
The adventure continues!
Cameron and I drove to San Fransisco on Monday. Our first stop was the Golden Gate bridge. We parked at a lookout spot and took some pictures. I could hardly believe the views.
Next, we went to Baker Beach. We walked along the shore over to these huge rocks that we decided to climb on. Cam jumped out on the edge and got some sweet extended views of the bridge and the bay.
We hiked up a ginormous staircase that led back up to the main road, then drove around the city searching for somewhere to eat for about an hour. I had been wanting to go to Mr. Holmes Bakehouse since I saw a picture of the shop on Pinterest a few years ago, so we decided to go there for lunch, which was actually just donuts at 2pm by the time we walked inside. Still delicious.
Of course, we had to visit Whole Foods. (Would we really be true Banks if we didn't?) We stopped for soup and chips and hung out there for a bit before visiting our friend, Jill, at the Transamerica Pyramid. She took us all the way up to the 44th floor and showed us the amazing view of the city. It was like nothing I'd ever seen before. Thanks again, Jill!!
We headed over to AT&T Park in the late afternoon to catch the Reds vs Giants baseball game. It was super fun and super cold, but we were happy to see the Giants win!
San Fran was nothing like I imagined it would be, however, it was amazing. The whole day felt like a dream. I'm so glad we were able to go, and I hope to go back soon.
