Christmas in Lahti
We decided to spend Christmas in another city outside of Helsinki this year. I’m so glad we did. We went to Lahti, which is about 1.5 hours north of Helsinki. We didn’t have much snow here in the city, so it was nice to go further north where they had a lot. It truly was a winter wonderland.
I’ve never spent Christmas by myself (or with just one other person.) It’s always been with family and/or friends, so it was definitely strange to be alone. However, it was fun to spend time with Daniel. To make our own traditions and watch Christmas movies, drink glögi, have breakfast in the candlelight and walk around in the snow.
